Principles

At the start of each project, a water board is implemented in the village or community. Eco-Villages ensures that the local population is fully involved in every stage of the projet so that its members acquire both expertise and a sense of local ownership which can then be passed on and replicated in other spots of the same villages or in new villages.

When necessary, constructio projects are supported by education modules such as hygiene and health promotion, women literacy and initiation to micro-projects.
