Where?

In the Douar of Laabadna, at the school of Khourchifa, Ouad Zem Cercle, Province of Khourigba.

Objectives

• Ensure access to safe drinking water, improve hygiene and health conditions at the school of Khourchifa and in homes.

• Relieve women and children from the duty of fetching water over long distances.

• Promote school attendance and in particular encourage young girld to attend basic scolarization.

• Promote an ecological development through the implementation of eco-friendly infrastructures and environmental education.

How?

• Through the construction of a 70 m deep borehole in the Douar of Laabadna.

• By installing a photovoltaic submersible pump in the well, connected to 6 solar panels.

• By constructing a water tower with a capacity of 40 m3.
• By constructing a 1500 meters long pipeline to deliver water to the school.
• By construction two stand pipes, 1 at the level of the well and the other in the school.

• By constructing toilets in the school.

• By including capacity building and training of local staff, families and children in the following areas:

• Hygiene promotion awareness for adults and children and the distribution of hygiene kits.

• Sensitization to the local environmental heritage.

• Encourage school attendence by distributing school bags, jackets and shoes.
