Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering EPFL (Switzerland)

Dr. Ing. Andrea Oess is the President of Eco-villages.

Andrea is a biochemist and a rural engineer. She carried out her Ph.D. on heavy metal migration mechanism in water and alpine soils of the Mont-Blanc massive. Initiator and founder of the Eco-villages association she has successfully coordinated the implementation and follow up of more than 30 projects around the world in the area of safe drinking water, sanitation and environmental/ecological programs. Andrea works for CARE International and Unicef in the WASH Cluster Rapid Response Team. She also advises on all questions related with environmental problematics and climate change.

Dr. Ing. Andrea Oess est la Présidente d’Eco-villages.

Andrea est biochimiste et a effectué son doctorat à l’EPFL sur la problématique de migration des métaux lourds dans l’eau et les sols alpins du massif du Mont-Blanc. Elle a coordiné plus de 30 projets dans le monde entier dans le domaine de l’accès à l’eau potable, à l’assainissement et à un environnement sain. Elle travaille actuellement pour l’ONG CARE et l’Unicef dans le WASH Cluster Rapid Response Team. Elle conseille églament sur toutes les questions en relation avec l’Environnement et le réchauffement climatique.
